“Assassin’s Creed 3 E3 Trailer”
*Jaw drops* This guy almost makes Ezio look like a beginner. Weaving in and out on a full fledged battlefield?! Hats off to you Connor.
Rumor has it Ubisoft started working on this directly after AC2 was finished. So like…early 2009. So three years on the same game.
It’s going to be insane.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!
This is the updated “Mystery of the Grail” indoor show.
It’s STILL not finished…BUT…it’s almost there. I’m in the closer and it’s fixing to be pretty badass.
1) The ballad/third movement is shaky. I know. You don’t have to tell me. I’m working on it. Need to move some notes around here and there, change some notes…it has the feel that I was looking for though. So…it was a start. Now it’s just a matter of fine tuning.
2) If you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan (which if you’re not…I apologize for that lack of awesome in your life) you’ll recognize the closer sample as the theme from Revelations. There was a reason for it…and here it is:
The show moves at a fast pace, but it tells a simple story: One of intrigue, discovery and protection. Like all Grail quests, it always starts with a fascinated man who longs for the recognition among his peers, and longs to change the course of history. He journey’s far and wide and encounters legend after legend, each thought to be pure myth, but each revealing an ounce of truth. His journey takes him back in time, as he travels into the depths of history, trying to unlock the secrets that buried the Grail away, and tries to wrap his mind around why anyone would want to hide such a gift from the world. After what seemed like a lifetime, our adventurer stumbles upon a cavern that shines with the brightness of the sun, but remains as cool as an Autumn day. Inside the cavern sits his lifelong goal: the Grail itself. Awestruck and tired, our adventurer takes the artifact into his hands, trying to comprehend what this means, not only for him, but for the rest of the world. The sense that the Grail gives him can’t be described. He had almost forgot how long he’d been pursuing this treasure, or how old and sick he had become. The Grail filled him with life again, and for all the troubles he’d been through, he’d finally felt relief. But a sharp realization came over him: his whole life had been put to this one purpose. He’d spent his entire adult life hunting for this one treasure. And despite the troubles and disappointments he’d felt throughout his life searching for this artifact, it was the adventure of a lifetime. It wasn’t about getting the artifact and showing it to the world, it was about achieving what very little people, if any, has ever achieved. He reached the pinnacle of his purpose in his life. And while the rest of the world will mock him and ridicule him for coming back to society empty handed, he’ll always have the knowledge that he had stood close to God, and held the holiest of relics in his own hands. His last goal: to keep the Mystery of the Grail alive. To protect the legend of the quest, of the discovery and the meaning behind it all.
Alright, so that may be long…but it’s the idea behind the show.
And how the Assassin’s Creed theme ties into it: I wanted a piece that never gave anyone the satisfaction of nobility. In that, the piece leaves you longing, never with the climatic finish that one would hope for in a story like this. The chords never really finish themselves off, and they just leave you waiting. Which is what I was going for. THAT, and this piece tends to give off the impression that there’s still work that needs to be done. Which is fitting for both AC:R and this show.
So there you have it.
It’s not finished, but it’s getting close.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK! And…as always…ENJOY!!!
ASSASSINS CREED: REVELATIONS!!!!
